Easier than the New Yorker. Bigger local impact.
We are accepting submissions on a rolling basis! It's easy. If your answer is "yes!" to the next three questions, you're halfway there.
Are you a kid? Does the world seem really different? Do you want to tell your community about it in some way?
Express how life has changed for you by submitting your work to the Muddy River Post. You could try an essay, or a review (put on your media critic's hat and tell us about a book you've read, a movie or show you've watched). How about a drawing, or a comic strip? Maybe you've learned about something new and you want to write a story about it? Or a news report about something that happened in your life, in your neighborhood? How about an interview with one of your family members? A letter to the editor? A recipe? A painting? A science project? An original musical composition? Maybe you invented a new game, or think differently about school, about sports, about any part of your life?
Fiction, non-fiction, news stories, letters, art, horoscopes, maps, whatever you want. We will publish it!
We only ask that your work reflects a little bit about how your life has changed due to the coronavirus.

- Submissions should be no longer than a single page, or roughly 350 words. You can also send multimedia.
- Please send only material created in the last few weeks.
- Contributors must be 0 - 17 years old.
- Also, please be mindful of younger readers reading this paper. If it's too scary, or inappropriate, we'll cut it.
- Please include your name, age, and town. About your name, be sure it's the one you'd like (check with a grownup about whether you should use a last name or not; you could also use a pen name -- just keep in mind that lots of people will see the name, so be sure your adult approves no matter what you choose).
